About Me
Telling stories. Stories are everywhere around us; they accompany our lives from the very first bedtime story our parents read to us, through DVD nights and LAN parties with friends, reading holidays on the beach, and going to the cinema on a first date, all the way to the time when we ourselves are the ones reading aloud to our kids…
Stories structure our reality; they can entertain, inspire, and touch people. It is important to me not just to create pure entertainment products, but to go beyond that. I enjoy telling stories visually, I like genres, and I believe that art can influence society, if not even change it!
I am a father of three children, live in Leipzig, enjoy drinking coffee, have a movie accurate stormtrooper armor in the basement and look forward to meeting new people and new projects!

Film as Science
I studied for my master’s degree at the University of Cologne, attended seminars, drank coffee, and wrote my master’s thesis on the topic Myth in Star Trek. During the graduation celebration, I enjoyed some sparkling wine

Film as a Passion
I studied at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg, searched for friends and found colleagues. Together, we made films, discussed ideas, and shot our graduation film. Our film even screened at the Berlinale, and we hung up the poster in the hallway

Life as a Filmmaker
Pursuing the world, searching for themes—finding new topics, meeting people, making films, experiencing moments of despair, but still pushing forward. Continuously working on oneself and creating new movies
